About Us
DREAM is a consulting company specializing in the oil & gas industry and energy transition. It offers technical expertise in geology and reservoir engineering for the characterization and management of gas and oil reservoirs worldwide.
Our History
DREAM is a consulting company offering highly specialized services related to the oil & gas industry and the energy transition processes. Our company provides technical expertise in geology and reservoir engineering for the characterization and operation of gas and oil reservoirs around the world.
DREAM was founded in 2004 as Politecnico di Torino’s first spin-off.
The concept of DREAM was conceived by a group of researchers from Politecnico di Torino together with technicians already active in the petroleum industry who foresaw the entrepreneurial potential of their abilities combined.
Over the last 20 years, DREAM experts have successfully worked together in research and development of both theoretical studies and industrial applications.
DREAM has become a trusted partner to interpret and manage static and dynamic data and determine the best development strategy for each hydrocarbon reservoir.
Our experience has made us understand that each project requires both innovation and adaptation:
Innovation: to find more effective solutions
Adaptation: to support a more sustainable energy industry

Board of Directors
Dario Ferrero
Board Member & Co-founder
Mr. Ferrero has been the Managing Director of DREAM since 2004.
He graduated from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) in 2001 with a degree in Environment and Resources Engineering and a major in Petroleum Engineering. Soon after graduation he became involved with the oil & gas industry working up a particular interest for both gas field and storage-related studies. Over the years, his know-how has been constantly fine-tuned for optimal performance and effectiveness by every single project he has embarked on. Mr. Ferrero also spends part of his time as an instructor at the Petroleum Engineering Master’s program of his alma mater.
Giorgio Giglio
President & Co-founder
Mr. Giglio has been the President of DREAM since 2012. He is responsible for subsurface studies related to Reservoir Engineering, Reservoir Dynamic Modeling & Simulation, Production and Pressure Data Analysis and Underground Gas Storage with 20 years’ worldwide experience.
Mr. Giglio has a MSc Degree in Environment and Resources Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Italy). He collaborates with the Underground Energy Systems Research Group at Politecnico and participated in several research projects in the field of geology, engineering of hydrocarbon reservoirs and energy transition, focusing on the optimization of production through innovative strategies, fractured reservoirs and underground gas storage systems (depleted reservoirs, aquifers, rock caverns).
He has developed a keen eye for technical detail which has helped him tackle the array of complex problems which can arise in any given project. Furthermore, he draws on his managerial skills to understand, develop and deploy team members and their skills so as to select the best options to successfully carry out a project.
He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and was the recipient of the 2003 SPE Cedric K. Ferguson Medal for the best peer-approved technical paper, “Validation of Near-Wellbore Fracture-Network Models with MDT” (2002).
